After a very thorough initial consultation with Dr. Silver my husband and I were so impressed I scheduled my surgery that day. I decided to do "The Full Monty." I decided to have a face lift, brow lift, eye lid lift, chin implant, neck lift and dermabrasion above my mouth. I have to say Dr. Silver, his Assistant Stacy and the other personnel at Plastic Surgery Vegas more than met my expectations. Dr. Silver was meticulous in providing my care from beginning to end. I started coming to Plastic Surgery in 2015 when I had breast augmentation done by Dr. Edwards. That experience was as professional as it gets from the consultation, to pre-operative protocols, to the day of surgery, to recovery, to follow ups. ALL the staff at both their office as well as at the attached surgery center were courteous, friendly and professional. I recently had a chin implant revision with sub mental lipo. My first implant was about 11 years old and had started to migrate upward, creating a super unfortunate crease and what appeared [to me] as a constant double chin. My surgery was performed in the office under local anesthesia, and went very well! Minimal discomfort (and I have zero pain tolerance), and was very fast. My new implant and lipo have seriously boosted my confidence, and I feel like my profile is so much more delicate and feminine. This post is overdue! I saw Dr. Silver on 2/24 for Botox and consultation on fillers. The entire staff was the most professional and caring I have ever encountered in my medical history. And Dr. Silver was just absolutely amazing. What I appreciated the most was his gentle and honest approach about procedures and outcomes. I was willing to spend money that day for fillers, and even though it would make the most business sense to encourage the procedure, he was honest about the effects it would really have for my facial structure. His honesty was soooo appreciated and is what convinced me to do a lower face lift and chin implant with his office in the next few months. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Silver and his office.

Chin plastic surgery
During this procedure, general anesthesia is used or sedation by IV in some cases. An incision is carefully made beneath your chin. In this incision, a pocket is made to keep the implant in place, which involves removing and shaving some of the bone and cartilage to make grooves to securely hold your implant in position. The chin implant is placed through the incision and positioned over the bone, directly below your lower lip. In some cases, the incision can be created inside the crease in the lower lip where it connects to your gumline. Both types of incisions help to hide scars. Tiny sutures are used to close the incisions, and the bottom portion of your face will be wrapped with medical garments.

Will augmentation fix my double chin?
Chin augmentation is meant to give you a sharper, stronger look to your lower face. If you are concerned about a double chin, you may be a better candidate for neck liposuction where the excess fat in your submental area (the upper neck below the jawline) is addressed. Sometimes, this technique alone can create a better jawline and appearance without a chin implant. Can I combine other facial surgeries with chin augmentation?

Are there nonsurgical procedures to improve my chin?

Kybella is approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) to reduce fat in your upper neck (the submental area). This might be all you need or Kybella might be combined along with chin augmentation for your best results. What's the difference between mentoplasty and genioplasty?
