However, he chose to complete his fourth year of college as he was also a standout on the baseball field, ultimately leading to being selected as the student-athlete of the year for the Great Lakes Valley Conference and being recognized on the ESPN the Magazine’s Academic All American Team.
He went on to attend medical school at Saint Louis University, where he continued to excel. He was also selected to serve on the medical schools’ admission committee, participated in several community outreach programs, and utilized nearly every weekend to develop his surgical skills. Dr Silver then went on to complete a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. His track record of outstanding academic performance continued as he scored in the top 1% on the national surgical exams on four separate occasions. He also completed research in multiple fields including pavement burns, hyperbaric oxygen, tissue expansion, pressure ulcers and cancer, resulting in over twenty scientific publications and presentations. He also took pride in teaching the medical students and was honored with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
Always striving to be his best, Dr. Silver then went on to complete a full year of fellowship training in aesthetic surgery, with an emphasis on facial rejuvenation. In this year alone, Dr. Silver performed over 1500 aesthetic surgical procedures.
